My first, and most recent, entry into the world of personal productivity was the purchase of a keyboard. It was my first time, and the first time I ever invested in a new piece of technology. It took me several months to finally settle on a keyboard because the only ones I had were $300.00 at Home Depot. So now I have a brand new, wireless keyboard that will work with a variety of applications.

The keyboard is the first thing I use every morning. After reading through a few articles on the topic, I quickly realized that there were a few problems with it. First, it was on the small side, measuring about the same as my iPhone. Second, it came with an awkward, non-functional stand. Third, it was expensive. Fourth, the back of the keyboard was rather bulky.

It may not look like much, but the addition of this keyboard to my daily use makes a noticeable difference. I can now type faster and with less frustration than I would have otherwise.

I’m not suggesting you get rid of your keyboard altogether, but there are some things you can do to improve the feel and function of your new keyboard. For instance, try getting rid of the awkward stand. The keyboard has a few problems with it, but it’s a small one in the grand scheme of things. You could get a smaller one if you really want to. You could also get a stand that’s a little more sturdy.

A small keyboard isn’t going to make typing any faster, but it can make it feel more comfortable. If your keyboard is not designed to be comfortable to type on, you will have to find something else to do. For instance, I like the new Logitech G500 wireless keyboard. It’s small and easy to use. You can get one for under $100 and it’s very comfortable to type on.

My point is that we all have to find something that makes typing a bit easier, but you dont have to go too big to find something that works for you.

I went out and bought a Logitech G400 and it really rocks. It is a wireless keyboard with a built-in mouse, but it works as a regular keyboard for me. I only wish Logitech didn’t make it even a little bit more expensive.

The G400 is a wireless keyboard, but it also has the ability to be a dedicated mouse. I personally felt that Logitech did a good job of keeping the keyboard price down. Although I think that if you want a wireless keyboard go with the Logitech G500, but if you want a dedicated mouse go with the G400.
