I am always frustrated by the amount of time I spend getting lost in my Google search results.
Just be glad you’re not on the internet. There is a lot of research that goes into the visual design of websites that have to be carefully considered, but there are also a lot of things that are very much off-the-cuff-and just happen.
The same can be said for our social media pages. The same can be said about our blogs, Twitter feed, Pinterest board, Facebook page. Sometimes there are just things that happen and they don’t always have anything to do with our posts. But it is important to keep in mind that things that we do on social media have a more direct impact on our ability to post than things that we do off social media.
The thing that really gets to me now is that while we are told that we should post in GIF form, we usually post what we think is funny. I know it’s easy to make GIFs funny, but sometimes they are just annoying and it doesn’t really matter. I don’t think we should be afraid of giving people the chance to post their own GIFs, but I do think we should be wary of the impact of their GIFs on the overall look of the article.
We are also advised not to just take our friends’ gifs and put them into the article because then they are simply “faking” it. We are advised to use them to support the points we’re trying to make even though it does look like they are fake. It’s a matter of whether or not it makes sense to us.
A lot of people take the time to post their own GIFs because they are more likely to be funny than not, and we are advised to ignore them. However, many people have a habit of posting GIFs they have taken from social media without their permission and then post them online to support their point.
There is a good reason why we always do this. When we post these gifs it’s our responsibility to keep them up to date. We are advised to post these gifs on the day that we want to post them so we can keep up with them. There is a good reason to post them because we can make better decisions if we post them on the day.
But there is a very good reason why we should post them on the day: it makes it easier to monitor the gifs. If someone posts a new GIF and it is up-to-date, that means someone else has already downloaded it. There are so many different kinds of GIFs and their different file formats that we can’t keep up with them all, but if we can see the full image, it can help us make better decisions.
We have a lot of GIFs on the site, but we have to keep a running list of the latest ones so we can get a sense of what people are up to. I think that’s why we keep the “last one downloaded” line in the upper right corner. Otherwise, we would be constantly updating the page with every new GIF we get.
The latest one is from the new Batman movie.
